Alzheimer's

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia is defined as a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere in daily life.  Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, which is a disease that attacks the brain that worsens over time.  Potomac Seniors Village understands that those who suffer from this disease need extra care.  There is a special unit at the assisted living center that is designed for those who suffer from this debilitating disease.  Residents can move freely about the facility so that they can maintain their independence.  Outside, there is an enclosed fence so residents can enjoy the weather or take a walk.  As always, there is 24-hour supervision so Residents can receive help whenever they need it.
